Weeks are just flying by at this point. Everyone is right when they say,  “The last 6 months will go by in the blink of an eye!” Because holy crap, I cannot believe how fast time is going by.

Well, this was another solid week in the mission. I am liking my time in Anaheim so far, even though I still miss Long Beach.  I am adjusting for sure.

Friends
We have some cool friends we are working with right now. The most progressing is a lady named Guille! She is a Hispanic lady and reminds me so much of my Nana! She is so funny! She has been meeting with missionaries for a long time but something cool happened this week. She has been smoking ever since she was about 15 years old. She has been wanting to quit so she can get baptized. She said she has one pack left and then she is going to try and quit again. The spirit prompted me to ask her to stop smoking NOW and ask for her remaining cigs. I did ask her and at first she said, “No”.  She then said, “Ugh… fine! But I am keeping one for myself!”  She had her final cig that day and hasn’t smoked since! She then set a baptism date for herself on May 24th! So that’s fire!

Honestly the work has been a lil rough but I think it’s just cause I am used to the dangerous yet elect streets of Long Beach. Everyone here in Anaheim wants to hear a lil message but hardly anyone wants to meet again, and when they do, they always ghost us. lol. So, we are finding lots of people but still trying to find who will progress.

We had the chance to go down to the Newport Beach temple this week for the recent convert temple trip with our RC named Pastor! He is a very very interesting guy. He is soooo quiet and always looks so angry.  I can’t really get a good gauge if he likes being in the Church or not. haha. But, the Temple trip was great!

Fun
Last pday we just went to the church and played volleyball with the zone and it was actually really fun! I usually don’t like playing volleyball with people who are trash but we somehow made it fun, so that was good.

We got to help out with a cool service project on Saturday, where they allowed us to set up a booth where we could proselyte to the people at the festival.  We had some good success as we got to pass out over 170 pamphlets, Books of Mormon, pictures of Jesus, WWJD bracelets, and a bunch of other stuff! It was dumping rain so that was pretty tough but it was fun!

On April 25th I hit my 2 year mark since opening my mission call and that was nuts. Thinking back it felt like yesterday! Also, a shoutout goes to my boy Elder Rich!! “Happy Birthday big Broooo!”

One evening, I was really bored at the apt and so I snooped in all the closets and found a bunch of puzzles! Since then, every second of my free time has gone to doing these puzzles haha! It’s been pretty fun!

Spiritual
This week I was diving deep into Alma! Specifically, the entirety of the story of Ammon! HE IS THE ACTUAL GOAT!!!! I have such a great love for Ammon. Here’s a scripture I’d like to share with you all.

Alma 26:22
“Yea, he that repenteth and exerciseth faith, and bringeth forth good works, and prayeth continually without ceasing—unto such it is given to know the mysteries of God; yea, unto such it shall be given to reveal things which never have been revealed; yea, and it shall be given unto such to bring thousands of souls to repentance, even as it has been given unto us to bring these our brethren to repentance.”

Repentance is beautiful yk?

Love yall!
