Xin cháo! ( hello in Vietnamese ) how is everyone doing!?! I hope you are all doing great! This week has been an adjustment for sure so it’s gonna be a interesting one.

Monday was lit. Last Pday in the Norwalk ward and the Cypritos zone. Definitely bittersweet. We had a zone wide service so we got extended pday which was super nice. For the activity one of my all time favorite missionaries. ( Elder Nelson) was willing to do a Korean BBQ for the zone! We all met up at his apartment and he did a big BBQ for us. It was the last time seeing the zone and some of the missionaries.

Elder Nelson and Elder Saunders were going home Wednesday. So it was so tough to see them go. I thought I was going to see Saunders again so we saved our goodbyes. I definitely did not see him again. rip. I probs would’ve cried so maybe it was for the best. Miss those Elders though!!!

Tuesday was the last day in Norwalk. So crazy. Felt like yesterday I got to the apartment and then I was packing. Like whattt. We had a lesson with Lyla which was good! It was hard saying bye knowing how much potential she has so I was sad to miss seeing her grow but really happy for her. ( She has a baptism date for August 17th now!!!) We said bye to some goated members and I finished the night packing.

Wednesday was transfers so I got my new comp Elder Saxton! He is from Kamas Utah. He is a G. He been out one transfer less than me and I’m really liking it here with him. We are serving in the Magnolia ward here in the Sunset Beach stake. For anyone like my dad, it’s just the city of Westminister so that you know where I’m at lol. Just unpacked and had a visit with some people.

All the other days have just blurred so overall it’s just been a blast. We have fun together but also worked hard. This area hasn’t seen a ton of succses the past little bit. But we are determined to shake it up and change the culture!

We have a theme for this transfer and it’s “Mission Impossible”. We are really taking the advice found in Luke 1:37. ” For with God, nothing shall be impossible. ” We have some good goals to accomplish this and it’s been a ton of fun and the miracles are real. Last transfer, this area only had 2 MPLs ( member participating in lessons) and within the last 4 days we have had 4 MPLs! It’s been a blast to see the Lord working with us and helping us along our path to accomplish the “impossible”!

I can’t wait to keep grinding and working hard here. The ward is shared by 4 elders. So we are with the ZLS and one of them is Elder Connel! One of my previous companions. It’s good to serve around him again. This area and Zone has a lot of Vietnamese people. It’s been interesting. The culture is a lot different than I thought and it’s cool having the Vietnamese branch in the zone.

Elder Saxton and I have been playing a lot of PIG on my mini hoop in our apartment and it’s honestly been a lot of fun. He is a mini hoop goat so it’s tied at a 3-3 series, so you will have to come back next week with the update on the score.

Last thing on the agenda is I hit my 1 year mark as a missionary tomorrow! Woahhhh. It’s so insane to me to think I have been a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ for one whole year.   I have seen a lot of grown in my self and I cannot wait to continue to grow as a person.

One thing I have gotten out of my mission has been making and accomplishing goals. In PMG they have some amazing tips on how to make and accomplish goals and it’s been so cool to do on my mission.

I love you all so much and can’t wait to see you all in less than a year!

Thank you for all the support I couldn’t be here without you all! With love from Socal.
