Gonna mix it up here and start with my spiritual thoughts for the week cause I have no clue how to start these emails!!!!
This week was such an eye-opening experience that was super incredible. How crazy is it to have the priesthood here on the earth!!!! Legit God’s power!!! We got to give a handful of blessings this week and each and every time I was able to feel the spirit so much.
Monday: Yo, hear me out. Goated day! We had some goated members, Bro Fuhriman and Hendricks wanted to take us golfing! We went down to the Navy Course and played 18 holes with some members and it was so much fun. I forgot how much I love that sport. I am a bit rusty but can’t wait to get back and get on the grind haha. We then had a Pday activity of just playing some B ball and it was pretty solid! The night ended okay haha.
We had a lesson with Jonathan that was good! He is so ready but needs prayers for sure! We ended the night doing a comp inventory with the STL’s lol. They had a bone to pick with some things lol. Ahhhh leadership. Don’t you love it!
Tuesday: Lowkey solid day for real. We had our weekly planning which was good and then we had a lesson with Lyla. She wants to get baptized so we committed her to pray for a day! The Lord is blessing us all for sure.
We then got to go to the institute and it was pretty solid. The YSA-aged kids are super funny.
Wednesday: We had a follow-up zone conference and it was pretty fire, actually! P Gally ( President Galotera) said. It’s something that I’d like to share. “The only thing standing in the way of where you are now, and where God wants you to be, is what YOU do.”
It hit me like a train. I was so determined after that is to best use my agency in the correct way. But man it’s hard sometimes haha.
We had a church tour with Andrew and that’s about it. I got to grill my chicken as usual and I am coming for the King of the Grill when I get home haha. Watch out Dad!
Thursday: I was on exchanges with Elder Luke and it was very eh haha. Nothing too crazy happened and it was lowkey kinda awkward all day. I was super tired from who knows what so I took a fat nap during our dinner hour it was legendary sleep for sure.
We had a meeting with the Cypress stake presidency and P Gally showed up too! It was good to see him but we missionaries didn’t say one word lol.
Friday: On exchanges again!! Classic. This day I was with Elder Morrison though! He is fun haha. We got asked to help a member of our ward move. So we and 4 other Elders got to help move this dude named Rocky, who is funny lol. He took us to Chipotle after and I am learning to be obsessed with that place. Chipotle is my life.
We had a solid rest of the day and ended the night on the floor laughing making a smoothie that tasted well… Idk. I didn’t try it lol. But Elder Morrison said it was trash lol.
Saturday: Morning started off with fire! Our Stake did an awesome Pioneer Day breakfast. We had pancakes and a ton of other things! Cool activities and it was a blast just hanging out with the other missionaries. The Hermanus in the zone are trying to teach me Spanish. At the activity they had me speak to some members and I was hot garbage. They all laughed at me lol.
The rest of the day was pretty boring though. Got Chipotle from a member so that was lit.
Sunday: Average Sunday here in Norwalk! We didn’t have any friends at church which was weird but it’s alright. We taught a couple of lessons to some members and did some visits as well! Very solid day.
