Hello everybody!! I hope you all had a fantastic week and a good start to summer. It was super hot down here in SoCal so that was a blastttt! I’m missing my tanning buddy Josie tho… Miss you Joooo! Anyway, this week was fairly slow in the fact of I have no idea what happened so let’s just go for it. haha.

Monday: Last pday was very normal and nothing cool happened at all. “That’s That” lol.

Tuesday: We did a service for a family in the ward. We mowed and trimmed the yard. “Holy Cow.” I miss it. I never would’ve thought I’d miss trimming and mowing the lawn but it was giving me some crazy flashbacks. All I was missing was my music.

We had a lesson with our friend Chris that was okay. The rundown on Chris is…. we think he is just meeting with us because he doesn’t do anything all day and gets bored, so he meets with us. He is a Goon too. He lies about a lot of the stuff that he says. He also makes up crazy stories, that kinda force us to have sympathy for him. We had a good lesson about baptism though and if he was for real about meeting with us, then he would work toward baptism. Later on in the week he called us at 10:15 p.m. from a new number cause his phone got run over. He was drunk. We haven’t heard from him since.

Wednesday: We had zone council in the morning that was okay. Still trying to get used to being one of the missionaries who plan and execute the Zone Councils but it’s whatever. It was a very average day in the mission, which is quite normal. haha. We have been visiting a ton of our friends we are working with, but a lot of them are not answering us. Hmmm!

Thursday: We did a “Come Follow Me” class with our recent convert, Cheryl Reed. She is very interesting for sure. The class was good! She had some good thoughts about Amulek and Alma.

We drove down to my old area, West Anaheim ward, and switched cars with those elders. They have one of the trucks and so we took it for the day to help some elders move apartments. It was fun being able to drive the truck all day!

So, I absolutely hate social media work. But, I was challenged to pray for the things I don’t like, hoping to see the fruits of my labors. I posted in a group on Facebook and this dude commented. I reached out asking him if he needed any service but he just wanted to ask some questions about our faith. He is the most knowledgeable person about the Bible I have ever met. We met him for lunch at Denny’s and had a good discussion! Super nice guy, but I think he just wants to have friendly bash.

Friday:  Nothing too much happened today. We are teaching a guy from Egypt named Wagdy and he is pretty cool. We met with him but he is kinda hard to understand so it was difficult to teach, but it was  really fun! Nothing too crazy happened the rest of the night but a solid day.

Saturday: HOT DAY!!  The sun has been going crazy down here I’ve been enjoying it a lot! I don’t think I’ve ever had more water in my life than on this one day. We got to teach a part member family, the Pierre’s. They are awesome and the Dad is the non member but seems kinda interested, so hopefully we can continue on with him!

We stopped by this guy house. Hi name is named Jim Livings and he was a goon. We talked for a longggg time but it got no where. It was wild.

Sunday: Solid day! I have kinda embraced that the ward I’m serving in that is kinda of… odd. So, I just got over it and just started being super energetic with everyone. It’s been so funny. Elder Connel was asked to conduct the music and boy, was it funny. He was struggling for sure. We had a couple lessons fall through for Sunday but overall it just was good!

This week I learned a lot about “being lost in the work”. As I approach my year mark I have been getting off my focus. And that has made time go slower. This week I prayed to get lost in the work again and it worked! It strengthened my testimony that God hears and answers our prayers!
