What’s going on everyone!!! I’m out of ideas on how to start these things. So, let’s just get right into it!

Monday: Pday was pretty good! We went to the church and a sister in the zone planned out the “Cypritos” Olympics! It was fun but man, they put me on a “Bot squad” so we didn’t win. It’s okay because it was fun. We then decided to go bowling with the Tagalog Elders and our super duper cool STLS. It gave me throwbacks to when the boys and I would go hit the lanes and throw a couple games haha. Shoutout to them, for real.

Tuesday: Exchange day with Elder Smith!! I was back on bike today over with Elder Smith in his area. They are in a big slump right now with missionary work and it’s kinda sad. We went about trying new things and found a little success. We went to a Korean BBQ place for lunch and it was really good. I’m still full from it.

Wednesday: Such a great day! We had a good Zone Council and learned about setting expectations. Because our mission is so small we do zone councils instead of district and then at the end, we do a district breakout. Because I am a DL, I get to lead them in the breakout, and they are fun to do.

This week we just got so hyped to go out and do missionary work and it was fun. I love my district!!! We had our “Come Follow Me” class that night and it was really good! It was followd up by “Pizza Night” with brother Miller!!! Love that man!

Thursday: Today I hit my year mark of opening my mission call. Kinda crazy, huh. Can’t tell if it’s been fast or slow tbh. Also, it was my boy Elder Rich’s Bday!!! Happy Bday little Bro!!

Anyway, we had a lot of lessons canceled, so that always sucks. We had to take our van to the mission office and have the car person look at it. The mission office is right next to my old area and so I went and visited the Velazquez family!! It was so good to see them!!!

Friday: Super busy day. We had some wackkk lessons. For all those missionaries serving “M”… do ya’ll ever have those people you teach, where during the lesson it’s good, then you realize they aren’t all the way there, and they didn’t pay attention to anything you said? Yes. We had so many of those today. We visited a lady who filled out a referral. She kept saying she kept dying and sees Jesus. She said she dies every night and sees Him. To me… maybe I’m wrong… but she might just be dreaming??? But, who am I to judge another. lol.

Saturday: GOATED DAY!!! On Saturday, we started with a service project with half of the mission! It’s called ” Love Yorba Linda.” We met at a park with our group, and a ton of people from the community. After we met there, as a district, we went to our assigned projects. We got assigned to help plant trees at a park. #teamtrees! We have this super short sister in our district and we kept making her get on a bucket to hammer all these nails in the tree to hold them up. It was so funny!

After, we went to lunch with the goat himself, Brother Miller. We had a good afternoon of visits and ended the night on a banger! I got permission to do a district Testimony meeting, and man it was so good. It was amazing to hear my great district share their “Sweet Testimonies”. Love them all, btw.

Sunday: I still love Sundays on the mission. Elder Evans and I have so much fun. The youth love us so Church is a blast. Elder Evans was asked to give a 7-minute talk. However, they left him with 20 minutes. haha! He did an incredible job. It was soooo smooth!

After church, we went to visit the legend herself, Barbara Bell. We read the BOM with her every week and she is so funny. She got a new phone and insisted that we take pics. I’ll add them at the end. They are so funny. We went to a mission prep for the stake and that’s always fun! And of course, dinner with the Gills! “A Shout Out” to them!

This week went super super fast! Which, if you know me, that means it was a good week!! This week Elder Evans and I have so much fun! It really makes a difference when you have fun on the mission. You have a different spirit with you and it makes things so much better.

My dad pointed out that I haven’t talked much about the friends we have been working with!! Well here is Michael!! He is amazing! He has been taught for a long time and he is so ready to be baptized! He is just waiting to get off probation and his baptism date is set for May 18th! He is so fun and just is struggling with smoking and coffee. So please keep him in your prayers!!

Love you all!

Elder Griffiths
