I’M BACKKKKKKK!!!! yo everyone, this last week was a blurrrrr frfr. I don’t even remember what happened in the early part of the week so let’s just talk about this goated weekend shall we??
On Wednesday night we got our transfer report and Elder Paget got moved to HBN ( Huntington Beach north) and I am staying where I am and got the”One and only ELDER EVANS” as my new comp!!! I was jumping around the apt that’s how pumped I was. I could barely sleep! I hadn’t ever served around Elder Evans but I have heard some goated things about this Elder.
Thursday: We deep cleaned the guts out of this apt and it was wild. I feel like my mom the way I was cleaning this place.
Friday was the day we got to pick up Elder Evans and drop off Elder Paget at the misson office. We got to the office and tried to figure out how we were going to get back to our apartment because we were on bikes. The AP’s forgot to add a car to the transfer report for these other elders in the zone. It ended up that they don’t have a drivers license. Sooooo, by default, one of the smallest areas in the mission got the car! That was Elder Evans and me! And, not just a car, but a beloved Mini van! I feel like a dad driving around in a Mini Van. So yea, it’s a s a blast! We spent the rest of the day unpacking my dawg, Elder Evans. We did some chill member visits and got to know the ward a bit better.
Saturday was a blast fr. For the morning session, we were able to watch it at the church building with the zone and that was good. Random side note! (Our zone got combined with another zone so now we have a MASSIVE zone so it’s just crazy.) Anyway, In-between Conference sessions the Tagolog branch needed help serving lunch at a baptism and they asked us to help. So we helped them and then they gave us food after and man, it was so GAS! We watched session 2 with the Tagolog Elders and that was lit. We had a little lesson in-between session 3 and the lesson was very weridddd.
Sunday was also so valid! (I will talk about my General Conference thoughts at the end!) For the morning session we went to the Lebarons and it was sooo fun! They are such a funny family and remind me of how conference goes at our house at home. Constantly picking on each other while the parents try and tell us to chill out haha. Shoutout Wade! We had a good second session at the church building. We just grabbed the couch from the foyer and watched on the TV. It was so chill. We had a great dinner with the Gill family and a blast with the De Bellos, to end the night. I am so pumped for this transfer with Elder Evans and I can’t wait to work with him!
General Conference Thoughts: This General Conference was sooooo good! I gained a HUGE testimony about how our Church leaders and apostles receive revelation from God. Yes, God! I loved when Elder Soares’ talked about how “Temple Prep” leads to a better experience at the temple. And, how better temple experiences will make our way of life better!
I can’t wait for when I am home to be able to spend more time in the temple and consistently live and keep my covenants with God! I would love to invite you all to watch General Conference, if you did not get a chance. If you need suggestions, email me and I can tell you some of my favs!
