What’s up, everybody! hope y’all had a great week! This week was crazy so let’s get into it!
Monday: Pday was actually not too bad! We got to do a lot of grocery shopping and got haircuts from a member. Went to the Church and played a game called Gator ball. It’s pretty much just soccer, handball, and football combined. Honestly more fun than I thought. We had a great dinner with the stake president and his whole family! He is the best and even has a pet crow. Kinda weird to be honest.
Tuesday: Not a whole lot happened today. We gave a blessing to a goated member! She’s always so positive even when times are tuff. Shout out to sister Tu’uga! We had a good night of member visits and had our BOM study class! Come Follow Me was awesome this week. Everyone should check it out.
Wednesday: Crazy amount of visits today. We started the day with interviews with President Galotera! He is seriously the best ever. We spent like half the time talking about tennis haha. We did some tracting before a goated member dinner with the Frutos. Bro Frutos is a spiritual GIANT!!!
Thursday
SUCH A GOATED DAYYYY! Started with zone council and we got tasked to go and pick up one of the AP’s. Elder De Leon is fr so funny. We had a cool zone council and got to talk to the AP about some funny stuff that only the elect can know about haha. We then had some good member lessons and that led to the highlight of my mission!!! (So Far)
Luckily for us, we have the 1st and 2nd councilors in the mission presidency. So we asked the 2nd councilor, President Acosta, to come to our lesson with Noe. We were planning on giving the baptism invitation and Prezzy WENT SO CRAZYYYY! The spirit was so so strong and President Acosta asked Noe to get baptized… He said yes!! We will be baptizing Noe on February 17th and we could not be happier! So after we snagged some Taco Bell because it’s Elder McCord’s favorite!
Friday: Honestly a really slow day and we did not do like anything. We did some tracting and had 0 luck. But the bright side of Friday was it finally was good weather! The past month or 2 has been so crappy. This day was a goated 80 degrees!
Saturday: Another really good day. Had some good meetings in the morning and then had some service. Some other elders had a baptism so we took Noe to the baptism and it was really cool. We had a good member dinner with the Shinoda family and I love them so much. Sister Shinoda is one of my favorite humans of all time.
Sunday: Church was good today! Noe came and was just flushed with welcomes and congrats on his baptism date.
We helped a man move a lot of heavy furniture on Saturday and I thought I had broken my finger. It hurt during church but it’s all good now haha.
We also had an incredible member dinner with the Barbours and they have a little 5-year-old named Naomi who has my heart bro haha. She is so cute and loves us missionaries. As we left she ran up to me and gave me a big hug and says, ” Elder Griffin, I love you ” made me so happy haha. And, no she can’t pronounce Griffiths.
Overall a really good week! Had some crazy cool miracles and had some awesome spiritual moments! I invite you all to read 2 Nephi 31. This is the chapter we used to put Noe on baptism and man it is just a banger of a chapter. I seriously Love you all so so much and miss you all even more than you think! Have such an amazing week and I can’t wait to hear from you all!
