Shoot everyone, it was transfer week…. any guesses !?!?!?! Well if you guessed nothing than you are absolutely right because nothing happened. haha! Transfer week is still absolute madness even if you don’t leave your area so it was a wild week for sure!
Monday: Very boring Pday tbh didn’t do much at all. haha! Calling my loved ones is always a boost so that’s always a good time.
Tuesday: Started off the day with some mid-service. The lady never pulled up like she said she was going to and so we just waited for like an hour and a half and did nothing. Then I had my DL meeting and that was pretty good I guess.
Wednesday: We had a really good zone council about teaching simply and that was actually really helpful! Defiantly learned a thing or 2. We visited Bro Anderson in the ward and homie is 93 years old it’s so fire. He is so funny and has a MASSIVE gun collection. It’s so unreal. We figured out he has a shooting range in his attic! So we talked him into letting us go up and it was gas. We then just waited for the transfer report and nothing is happening here! Just going to finish training Elder McCord and staying in my baby area for 6 months! It’s kinda insane that 1/4 of my mission will be in one area!
Thursday: Super chill day tbh. The Only cool thing was we had a lesson with Noe and it was super good! Bro Barbour came and he is a spiritual giant I swear. Buddy knows everything about this church he could easily be one of the 3 Nephites fr fr. He brought a crazy strong spirit and it was so good.
Friday: Transfer day! We had to be the Taxi driver for some peeps in the zone including my guy elder Saunders! I’m so sad he is dippin’ to Anaheim but he is now comps with my other boy elder Smart! So I am really jealous of them.
Saturday: A pretty nuts day! We had so much stuff planned and it all went to trash. Three lessons got canceled, the oil change was postponed, meeting was canceled, it was just wild.
We have a person who has been taught by the missionaries in the past and her name is Gem Reid. We would always go try and visit her because she lives on top of a 13-story hotel building. She never answers the door but we go to look at the view all the time when we need a break. So Elder McCord and I were both not feeling great so I was like yo let’s go to Gems. So we pulled up. watched a fire sunset, and on the way out we decided to knock on Gem’s door. She finally opened up and said she was thinking about us that day!!! Wow. We ended up finding her home and she wants to start coming to church! How chill is that!?!?!!
Sunday: A very good Sabbath day. Sacrament meeting was great. Our ward is so awesome! We did some member visits and had a fire member dinner. Wild story. As we were driving there we saw a ton of cops hauling past us. We didn’t think much of it cause “Welcome to Santa Ana Ferda. We pull up to our members and 2 houses down are all the cops! Caution tape galore and it was wack. Apparently, there was a shooting just moments before we got there so kinda wild.
We went to the Velazquez later and they gave us some goated food and we talked about 1 Nephi 1-5.
That’s all for this week but I sure do miss and love you all so much! Please feel free to reach out to me via email! I’d seriously love to hear from everyone! Peace!!!
