YOOOOOOO! What’s goodie everyone! Hope ya’ll had a great week and a good time getting ready for Christmas next week! It’s so crazy that it’s so soon! Anyway let’s get into it!

Monday: Pday was actually a blast. We didn’t really do too much in the morning, except run some errands for elder McCord. He’s trying to finish get all settled in. We played Pickleball for our zone activity and it was fun to play with everyone. We had some pretty intense games against me and my dawg elder Turpin. He is our new ZL and he is so lit.

Then, the best fam in the world, the Velazquez Fam, took us and our friend Noe to the golf range!! I was finally back to my happy place. It seriously felt so good to just hit some dingers into the sunset. I haven’t been that happy in a very long time lol.

Tuesday: Honestly, it was pretty slow day. We didn’t really do a whole lot, except we had a jointed comp study with another “Companionship” and that was good to see everyone’s different perspective about what we were reading.

Wednesday: Zone council was a blast, as usual. However, a lot of missionaries are getting covid so we had to social distance and it was really weird. However, it was still a good council. I kid ya’ll not, I have eaten at Raising Cane’s chicken fingers more on my mission then at home combined. We eat it like 2 times a week it’s insane. So we snagged Canes for lunch lol. Then we ended the day with a lesson with Noe and it was so good! Everyone plz pray for him to have a strong desire to get baptized! He wants to but doesn’t think he is ready!

Thursday: No idea what even happened on this day. We didn’t do anything to special except some visits and a member dinner! The guy is a professional chef so we had some good grub.

Friday: We have a rotation in the mission on doing a red cross service and IT SUCKS SO DANG BAD! We don’t donate blood. We just are receptionists for the day and man I could never be Pam Beasley from “The Office”. (IFKYK)

We then had another member dinner with a sister named Delia. She is a convert and none of her kids are active. SHOUT OUT MY BOY ASH FOR THE IDEA FOR PART MEMBER FAMILIES ILY! We had a dinner with her fam and her youngest son might have an interest in baptism! That would be litttttt!

Saturday: Goated day. Got to go on an exchange with elder Saunders, finally! Because we are both district leaders we can now do district leader exchanges. We had so much fun. We did a service for a member in another ward and picked up lunch after. Then, honestly, we had a pretty lazy day of visits and then had “Raising Canes” against “Classic”. Elder Saunders and I get along really well. We have the same friendship as I do with my boys back home. We bully each other and make each other laugh. It’s a great time.

Sunday: Pretty good day. The title of this email is this because of this wild speaker. So, this man is about to give this talk. Remember, not everyone here wears a white shirt and tie for church. Some people wear jackets and sweats. It’s Lit. Anyway, as he is introducing himself in his black zip up jacket, he says ” Hold on brothers and sisters” he takes off his jacket and he has a bright red “Giving Machine” shirt on. AND, THIN HE WHIPS OUT A SANTA HAT AND PROCEEDS TO GIVE HIS TALK WITH A SANTA HAT ON! I was like “Aint no way dawg” tbh – The talk was pretty fire.

Well that’s all for this week! I can’t believe next Monday is Christmas. It’s so insane to me. I am definitely going to miss being at home with the Griffy gang. Josie, we will have to do our sleepover when I get back. RIP!

I really suck at giving spiritual thoughts so I’ll throw one in here. As I’ve been training and just being out here on my mission for a short time, I have really grown a lot of patience. If it’s companions, the work, the Chargers sucking, or anything else at all, I have learned to simply “Trust the Process”.

Everything will be okay in the end because it’s all apart of God’s plan. If it doesn’t end up working, in whatever it is, then I guess God didn’t want it to end up like that. I challenge you all these next couple week to try “Trusting the Process”. It can be frustrating, I know, but it’s all part of God’s plan of agency. It will work out perfectly, as it is supposed to be…. in the end! 🙂

I love you all so much, you have no idea.

Elder Griffiths
