I’m running out of ways to start these emails so let’s just hop right in.

Monday: I will say, a pretty average P-day. Just hung out at the church building and played volleyball and basketball. Went to a Taco Truck with a member and it was fireeeee! El Pastor Carne Asade. Debate all you want.

Tuesday: Pretty cool day I guess, haha. We had a lesson with Alma and it was very solid. Taught her about baptism and it’s something she is interested in but doesn’t like how there’s so many steps to get to baptism. She’s very flakey and doesn’t make any commitments. So she is up in the air currently.

We had a lesson with Noe and it was insane! Because Elder McCord is new he didn’t feel comfortable teaching any part of the Plan of Salvation. Which is totally fine because I was the same way. POS is easily the hardest lesson to get down. I’m still scared of it. I taught the full POS lesson all by myself for the first time and the spirit just took over and said, ” Lemme cook real quick”.  So by all means I let the spirit do its thing and the spirit was putting up 2016 Lebron in the finals numbers. That’s how strong the spirit was.

Wednesday: Did some service for Alma and just kinda told her “Hey you have to commit to doing things because you are not progressing at all, so we need you to step up. Kinda hard to say that but it was much needed. I promise I love her but man, she is a pain in my butt recently. Then, we did a whole ton of street contacting and it was fun to just walk and talk with a new comp. It was a good time.

Thursday: GOATED DAY ALERT!!! Thursday was so gassssss! We had a zone conference from 9:00-4:30. It was just a good break and a time to just feel the spirit and learn how to be a better missionary. I got a ton of new insights.

Then, we had a member dinner with my fav fam, the Velazquez’s. They took us to Baja Fish Tacos and it was muy bien. Then, we had a lesson with our new friends, Barbara and Louie! When he said his name was Louie, instantly I thought of my brother’s pet hamster. RIP LOUIE. Anyway, we taught a great restoration lesson and they were in awe of the Book of Mormon. We gave them a copy and we will meet with them this Thursday!

Friday: Honestly, it was a dry day. Nothing happened, so let’s skip it for today lol.

Saturday: A highlight of my mission so far, came today. We got to do something really rare. We went all the way to Los Angeles to go to the Temple! We did it as a ward activity and we had so much fun! This is the best ward. They have Christmas lights very similar to Temple Square in SLC. Man, the LA temple is so massive and pretty! We got to go through the visitor’s center and it was just so amazing!

As a missionary, the spirit from the temple just makes me so happy. It’s so incredible because a crazy city surrounds it and yet, it was so quiet and peaceful. Looking around seeing the city’s tall buildings and the city lights, yet none of them compare to the temple. It’s so flipping cool.

Sunday: A classic great Sunday. Church was really good and we heard some good talks from a new couple in the ward. Afterward, we got invited to go to the Johnson’s home for lunch and it was so so good! Later in the day, we gave a blessing to a sister who is in the hospital so that was cool. Then, we had some visits. When we went home, we got to just chill!

It was a crazy week, but a really good week for the 1st week into the new transfer! I’ve been having to deal with a lot more responsibility but it’s been a great learning experience!

Love and miss you all, especially at this time of year!  Have a Merry Christmas and drink lots of Egg Nog for me!!!
