WOWWWW! What an absolute WILD week in the Mish. This week was insane so let’s get into it already!!

Monday: So Pday was again very very mid as usual. Nothing changed there. Buttttt, it’s transfer week…. And that means leadership calls on Monday night. And honestly, I wasn’t expecting too much to change for this transfer. But, as I’m just chillin’, doing my thing on Monday night when we get a call. lol.  It’s from the APs.

They ask for Elder Hurst and they ask him if he is willing to be a DL. ( District Leader) He says “Yes” with no hesitation. I got so excited for him! He has always wanted to be a DL. Then I was just expecting that to be all. Then they ask for me. My heart dropped. They ask me if I am willing to be a DLT. ( District Leader and Trainer). I was like, “What”? I accepted the calling. It was just a wild turn of events. But, with all that being said, that meant that Elder Hurst and I would get split up.

Tuesday: We had all of the training for the new positions. The Trainer meeting was good and the DL meeting was okay. Kinda boring but I was still so excited. We completed a service for the “Rancid Cat Lady” and that sucked. Then, we had a lesson with Noe and had our bible study.

Wednesday:  We had our last zone council before the transfer and it’s weird because it’s the last time everyone is together. It’s kinda sad when you know people are going home and people are leaving the zone. Then, I had my 12-week follow-up meeting with all the missionaries I came out with. It was weird because I was the only DLT out of my group and I was like half falling asleep. Kinda a bad look, but man. I was tired.

Then, we had our final service for “Cat Lady” and we packed her Uhaul.

Then, the TRANSFER REPORT!!! This is when we see all that’s happening for the entire Mission. And, I am staying in my area!!! Elder Hurst was transferred over to Huntington Beach and he is a companion with my MTC comp, Elder Smart!! Small world huh?

Thursday: Elder Hurst’s farewell tour day. We spent the morning cleaning and packing. Kinda bittersweet moment tbh. I am excited to have a change and for him to go to Huntington Beach but sad to see my trainer leave. Then we visited all of our fav members and said goodbye.

Friday: Insane day! Dropped off Elder Hurst at the mission office with all the other missionaries who were there for transfers. Got to see some old friends and bye to some new ones.

Elder Saunders and I are both training and our “Kids” don’t come until Friday night. So I got to spend the whole day with him. It was AMAZING! He is so cool and we have a ton in common. Our friendship is just like my friends at home. We just bully each other and laugh over it. It’s so fun. We had a lesson with Alma that was super solid. Then we got to pick up our sons! My new comp is named Elder McCord! He is from Orem and he is pretty cool! We got our trainees and went straight to “In and Out”! After, we headed back to the APT and just talked while he unpacked.

Saturday: The first day as a DLT was Crazy. Started with a new missionary orientation and it was good. It’s weird because I’m coming out of training and so I feel like a new missionary still. After that, we had a lesson with an inactive member, Marco! Seriously, one of my favorite people ever. It’s fun because my first lesson ever was with Marco and so it is with my Trainee! Kinda crazy. Marco took us out for smoothies and they were sooooo good! Then we just introduced him to the important members of the ward and had dinner with the Shinodas! Best fam ever and I  love them to death.

Sunday: I love Sundays. As you can imagine I was pretty stressed this week. And, I was feeling anxious and stressed up until I got to Sacrament meeting. The peace that was in the chapel was so awesome. I felt that nothing else mattered. So that’s my spiritual moment for the week. Noe came to church, as he usually does, and it is so awesome!! He is the best and hopefully, we can get him baptized in a couple of weeks!

We had some visits after church and had a lesson with Alma that went solid! Hopefully, we can put her back on a date soon and get her into the waters of baptism! I ended the night doing district calls.  Kinda weird having to call my district and everything but it was good and pretty fun to just call and talk to everyone!

Well, I’m so sorry for the long email againnnnn! This was by far the most crazy week of my mission so far. So, cmon it’s gonna be a long email. Alsooo, MERRY CHRISTMASSSS!! I would kill to be at home watching a Hallmark with my family, drinking some hot chocolate. So you guys are gonna have to do it for me! I love you all so much and couldn’t ask for a better team behind my back as I serve!! Miss and love you all! Peace!!!
