HOLAAAAA MI AMIGOS!!! Sorry I feel obligated to start in Spanish based off this last week’s experience! This is gonna be a roller coaster of an email so hold on!!!

Monday: PDAY was a fluke and a half- haha. The sisters in our zone planned a big halloween party that sounded super fun but some of the elders had a meetings in Long Beach so they couldn’t make it so we canceled the party. It wasn’t the sisters fault but just bad timing. We ended up just going to “In and Out Burger” and eating and talking!

Tuesday: Halloween!!! The day was kinda wild. Not in the Halloween way tho. We put our friend Eleanor on date for baptism! We had a lesson with her and she brought up baptism so we set a date! PLEASEEE PRAY FOR HER!!! Things aren’t looking to great as of now so keep in her your prayers!

Because of Halloween, we had to be in our apartments by 6 pm so we had a whole lot of nothing to do. I shot a lot of hoops on my mini hoop and our mission did a zoom call that was very “mid”.

Wednesday:  Started with a member breakfast that was good! We had a Mexican breakfast so it was just a tortilla, black beans and this beef stuff. It was lowkey fire but just weird for breakfast.

Then we had a lesson with our friend Alma. She is so nice and loves us missionaries. We hope to put her on date soon! She is amazing. Then we had another lesson with our sweet recent convert Bridget. She is goated. She is trying to get her a temple recommend so we can get her to baptize her parents!

Thursday: Zone Conference day! Zone Conference feels like what a 9-5 job would feel like. It legit from 9 am to 4:30 pm. It was really good though. We get to hear from our mission president and his wife and then also the AP’s. Our zone sat on the front row and President Galotera was staring me down the whole time. It was scaryyyy.

Friday: We had a lesson with Josef over zoom and that went well! He is super solid but just super busy all the time. We also had another lesson with Eleanor and that’s always fun. She is the sweetest old lady who is so funny to talk to.

We ended the night with some visits. My comp has asked me to lead the area again. He is stressed out about some stuff so he asked me to take over and I was so excited. I haven’t been able to lead the area for a bit so I was pumped. It’s so much better leading the area. I had a feeling to knock on this dudes door who has flaked on us like 100 times and so we lowkey beefin. Anyway, we knocked and he opened up and let us in for a lesson. That counts as a find so that’s good. ( A find is when you find someone, teach a principle, have them commit to something, and get a follow up appointment) And, everyday I have lead the area I’ve gotten “a find” so hopefully I can lead more often. lol.

Saturday… DIA DE LOS MEURTOS:

Such a fun day! Started with sports morning and I took my first LOSS. Sorry everyone. I got put on a team who have never thrown a frisbee in their life and honestly, I’m not great with the disk either lol.

After, we didn’t want to drive back to out apt so we hung out at the elders who live next to where sports morning was. I went with Red Hill which is Elder Saunders and Elder Vasquez. (Red Hill is the name of the area these Elders are serving) Elder Hurst went to Tustin Meadows with Elder Loo and Elder Richins. I love the Red Hill Elders so much haha. Both of them are so funny and we get along great. I would definitely hang out with these boys back at home.

We then went over to Dia de los Meurtos! This event has been hyped up for months now. It was so fun. There was music, food, family history, a dance team out of Mexico came to perform. There was chalk art, altars, and so much stuff! It was amazing. So fun to be just hanging out and just chill for the day. I was assigned to do some jobs like all the missionaries but they never needed help so they told me and the other elders to just have fun. It was seriously muy feugo.

Sunday: It was a pretty chill day tbh. Sacrament meeting was good and I got to bare my testimony for the first time since the MTC so that was a good time. I bare testimony everyday but not in front of a big crowd I guess.

Then we just had a stacked day of visits. Honestly my feet hurt pretty bad after so much walking and everything recently. However, we got a find tho! We saw this dude at an apt complex we were in and we just passed him the first time because we were in a hurry. Then we saw him again and I had the strongest impression to go talk to him so we blasted over to him and asked him some questions about religion and he loves Jesus and wants to hear more about what we believe! So that was chill.

Well sorry for the book everyone! I’ll try and make my emails shorter cause I already know none of my friends read them hahah. If they did they would e-mail me back their favorite scripture! (Let’s see if they read this) lololol.

Anyway, hope yall had a happy Halloween and an amazing week! Stay safe yall! Also, it’s the time of year of gratitude! Go out and tell someone you are grateful for them! That’s my challenge for everyone this week!

Peace and Love from SoCal!
