What’s good everyone? Another week in the books I guess, hahah. This week was full of random stuff so let’s get into it! But first I just wanna say congrats to my cousin Matthew on returning home from his mission in Texas! Proud of you man! Thanks for setting an amazing example to me and the rest of Barb’s Babies! (ifkyk)

Monday: Pday was fire! Got to finally play some Pickleball and it was a blast! We got our whole zone together and a member from our stake came and taught the group how to play. I already knew. After playing a couple games he came up and asked where I was from. He wasn’t surprised when I said Utah because of how big it is there these days! I had a lot of fun and glad to say I have yet to lose in anything so far since I’ve been here in SoCal. It’s coming for me tho.

Tuesday: Had weekly planning so I once again turned into Gordan Ramsey and cooked some Fire Grub in the pot. Not a single person told me chicken shrinks when you fry it, so I cooked up about 5 chicken breasts and it made about 1.5 servings of chicken and rice so that sucked lol.

Anyway, we went to Santa Ana college and did some contacting and had some good success! It’s nice to talk to people my age lol. We got 6 phone numbers.

Bible study was fire as usual. Sister LeBaron got an ET ( emergency transfer) on Tuesday. It was sad because she was my travel buddy when we both got out here. It was sad to see her get moved to Huntington Beach. Her name is Sister Lebaron, but I call her Lebron.

Wednesday: We had a good Zone Council meeting to start the day and it lead right into a service project! We, and another companionship, went to a “Members Home” to help her to do, who knows what. She made us clean a lot of stuff and set up a new bed frame for her. She was a weird lady and then ended up saying she is a criminal and she doesn’t love the church anymore and had all of her records removed. Of course, she mentioned this after we worked for a couple hours lol.

Then we had a member dinner with one of the mission presidency councilors! It was really fun! They were super chill and easy to talk to. They made me try a “Green Spanish Olive” which my my Dad absolutely loves. They are as nasty as I remembered.

Thursday: Bro, today was WACK! We were on exchanges and I was with Elder Moffett. He got here just before me so we are both new little homies. We got a call in the morning about helping with a service. We went down with both of our comps, and so it felt like normal again lol. This guy had a massive U-Haul full of stuff. Half of it he was keeping and half was going to the dump. We met him at the dump and they charge extra to unload the more people you bring to help. So he threw us into the back of the U-haul and snuck us into the dump. He must’ve hit every curb, rock, bump, or whatever, because we were just flying around in the back and I lowkey was nervous that someone was gonna get hurt. lol Just wack stuff. But we were all chillin in the end.

We had a chill member visit and member meal that night while on exchanges in Elder Moffett’s area.

Friday: Today was also wack. We had a huge move for a lady in our ward who is going to Arizona. She had so much stuff. We got most of our zone to be there and help so that was clutch. However, there was an old dude from our ward who came and was the “leader”. Man, he was he bad at instructing. We were there from 8-11 and had moved 2 couches and 1 fridge into the U- haul. The rest of the stuff he made us move from the back yard to the front yard. Then, we had to leave that project for an hour to help at the church. When we came back, luckily old man Jenkins was gone and this young dude was there. He meant business. We got back from the church at 12 and we were done with the rest of the move by 1:30. He was goated. We then spent the rest of the day driving some biking elders all the way to Brea for a baptism interview. Traffic is so bad down here it’s crazy. It took 1 hour for 15 miles and it was horrible lol.

I’m just writing in my journal and I heard a knock at the door. At first I was like, “Oh boy the ZL’S are definitely gonna rip us about something.” Butttt, I open the door and it was the Harris and Stevenson family from back home!! It was so amazing to see them and so good to talk to people I know! Super awesome families and I was so happy when I saw them instead of my zone leaders!

Saturday: Every Saturday morning we do something called sports morning. Can’t remember if I have told ya’ll this. Anyway, we play Ultimate Rugby. We don’t have a frisbee. It’s the same game but with but with a rugby ball, You just throw it against a chair. It’s so fun. I am undefeated in my 5 weeks of playing and I don’t plan on losing anytime soon.

My first day in the field we met with an old Church member by the name Marco. We finally met with him again! He is so dope! He calls us Bros and he makes me laugh so hard. Love him.

Sunday: Our friend Josef came to church today! So cool! I felt like a real missionary walking him through the chapel and explaining how the sacrament and everything worked. He loved it. The ward was super welcoming toward him. It was awesome. Ended the day with a whole lotta visits and a lesson with a recent convert named Bridget! She reminds me a lot of my Aunt Emily in how she talks and her sense of humor! It kills me! Bridget is so dang fun to talk to and so funny!

Well that’s all for this week! I guess I am a Missionary so I should end with a spiritual something, hahah. EVERYONE GO READ MOSIAH 2:41!!!! It’s a certified banger. LOVE YOU ALL SO MUCH!!!! MISS YALL!!! BOLT UP CUZ IT’S GAME DAYYYYYYY.
