Hey everyone! Hope you guys had a great week and hope you are all doing goated. Miss you guys tons and love yall!

A couple things…
1. I am starting to HATE yappy dogs. They bug me and give me a headache.
2. Cali weather changes like Utah weather. It’s either really cloudy or really sunny but you can always get bot.
3. Conference is way dope on a mission.
4. Californians set up Halloween WAY to early Ha ha. Homes have already been decorated for weeks.

Anyway, this last week was pretty dope? I am starting to get in the roll of things a little bit, and beginning to forget about home life. It doesn’t help when you call your family in the morning and find that half of them are in Florida at Disney World right now. SMH. I’m just kidding. I’m glad they are having fun and glad my Mom is taking a day off as she never seems to stop working!!! STOP PICKING UP SHIFTS MOM! Get some some sleep and watch some Netflix or something. Ha ha.

Zone Bowling Last Monday was PDAY and we had a ton of fun but definitely stayed busy! As a zone, we went bowling and it was super nice to finally do “real world things”. No one in my zone was able to keep up as I bowled a 196 and took a demanding win. Ha ha. A new guy has stuff to prove, I guess. It ended up being really fun and I love hanging out with our zone members.

PDAY ends at 6 p.m. tho. Tragic! So, we had to go back to work. My comp and I have just been parking in a random area and we walk and walk. We probably average about 4-6 miles everyday so that’s been an interesting adventure. We ended up stopping by a guys place. His name is Alex and we taught him the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We are meeting with him again, so that should be awesome.

On Tuesday not a whole lot happened. We had a Red Cross service project and we just sat there the whole time not doing anything. We cleaned a couple of rooms and check in a couple of people in. Mainly I just sat in the chair and enjoyed the music they were playing over the sound system. Upside Down by Jack Johnson has never sounded better. That song is a banger. We ended the night with our weekly Bible study class! That’s aways fun! We just follow the “Come Follow Me” Program and teach anyone who would like to come! It’s definitely a good mid-week spiritual boost.

Wednesdays Zone Council was fire. I was able to talk to Elders Vasquez and Saunders about some of the issues of being a new missionary. They gave me some incredible advice that helped me a ton for sure. I love those guys! Following Zone Council we took some biking elders back to their APT and on the way we grabbed some Del Taco. It gave me a flashback of when the boys back home and I would go to Del Taco on Tuesdays and pound some value tacos and laugh our heads off. Good memories.

We met up with a man at a park by the name of Juan and taught him about the Restoration and it went really well. I noticed he had a pair of Jordan 1’s on and I was waiting for the lesson to get over so I could talk to homie about shoes. We ended up talking about shoes for about 10ish minutes and then my Comp ended that discussion and we were on our way. The lesson went very good tho.

We went to a member’s home for dinner and they had a wild story to tell. They met on a Friday night at a collage party. They both had a boyfriend/girlfriend and the ended those relationship the next day. They went on a date with each other on Monday night and got engaged! Like, what the heck? He didn’t even know her last name. They have been married 60 plus years and have served 7 Missions together! Wild stuff. On Thursday, we did some chill service in the morning. We helped a lady move, so that was fun.

This story is funny. My comp and I work in a pretty sketchy area where we aren’t allowed to go through at night. We thought 2 p.m. would be an okay time to go out. As we are walking we just started seeing so many cops driving around and we were so confused. Legit, every street had police officers just patrolling the area, no sirens just vibing. As we passed all the cops one officer came up and started talking t0 us. He said, “You guys probably shouldn’t be in this area right now. There is a guy walking around with a gun.” My comp seemed a little spooked but honestly I didn’t think much of it. It sounds scarier than it was. However, we did leave the area for my Mom and all my aunts who get freaked out. Lol.

We had a member dinner again with a family who love to play golf. It was tie to be able to talk to them about it. Hopefully they will take me to the range or something. Haha.

Friday was a very slow day. Not much happened. I had an interview with President Galotera so that was good. The we just did a whole lot of walking. We knocked on a random door and it was a short Hispanic lady. She had a MASSIVE DOG! He was legit up to her shoulders and probably up to my ribs. Like this dude was huge. He started barking at us like crazy and we saw her grab her sandal and start smacking the dog. I started dyingggg on her porch because I thought it was so funny. The dog would have absolutely dominated me but this little Hispanic lady was just clocking the dang thing with a sandal.

Saturday/Sunday, GENERAL CONFERENCE IS GOATEDDDDDD! So much better on a mission because I actually pay attention instead of messing with Josie the whole time. Saturday we watched it at a members house and they served us food and drinks and everything was amazing. Sunday we watched Conference at the church building and that was really cool too! Both days we didn’t do a whole lot after conference. That’s was about it.

I relate it to the NBA and how the super stars, like Lebron and Steph and KD, are getting old and leaving us. lol. Had to throw that in.

Love you all. Have a great week!
