What’s up everyone! I hope you are all doing so good and loving life! I can’t believe I have been set apart for over a month already it’s crazy. This has easily been the longest month of my life. I mean its been a month so thats something to look at! Only 23 months left sounds insane but I’m excited for the awesome memories its going to hold. The title of of this blog post is one of the most iconic drake lines of all time. It definitely describes how the mission has been. Drake to describe when someone is behaving very emotional.
This week started off kinda bummy but ended really good so we start somewhere and now we here! There are definitely hard times that happen on a mission but at the end of the day it’s all okay. We are doing the Lord’s work.
Talking about Drake really makes me miss music and a lot of worldly things that I love that I don’t have access out here. Music, friends, football, fantasy fantasy football, video games with GB, golf, and like 200 other things. But, the more I think about what I’m missing the more I realize all of the blessings that come out of not having those things! Like not having to watch the LA Charger lose a game by 3 points every week! Or, watching BG beat me in golf every time we play (except for the last time we played. Lol) I miss worlds stuff, but I’m liking it out here!
The area I am in is Santa Ana, (I think I mentioned that last time). I should’ve said the area I’m in is Mexico! It feels like 1st world Mexico. It’s wild. We knock on so many doors a day and so many house don’t answer and when they do about 80% that do open the door speak Spanish. So there is definitely a language barrier. I’m surprised this area isn’t part of a Spanish Speaking mission. It’s insane!
This week, church was pretty interesting. A lady was the speaker and she started off by talking about college football, so she instantly had my attention. She went on to talk about Coach Deion Primetime Sanders, the coach at Colorado. She shared a quote he said and related it to the gospel which was sweet. Primetime said, ” Even when you’re not on the big screen go make a play, even when you’re not on the leader board, go make a a play” I was thinking about how it can relate to missionary work. I was thinking how even if you aren’t doing a big thing and big plays to convert, we can still make a difference in peoples life!
The thing I would like to end on is something that I have heard all while I have been out here is getting members involved! It doesn’t seem like members can do much but they totally can! I challenge you all to get someone baptized this week! I’m just kidding. lolol. I invite you all to share a scripture or a thought this week with someone. Do something! Social media is an awesome way! Love you all and have a goated week!
