What’s up, everyone? It’s crazy to say that I’m even sending one of these reports out after reading so many throughout my life. This is crazy. I have only been here for a couple of days but it feels like a lifetime for sure. Half of the time my roommate and I can’t even remember what we had for lunch because it feels like so long ago. It’s been an awesome couple of days though.

When we arrived here we didn’t even have time to unpack our bags or anything.  We jumped straight into our first class. I think everyone was just in shock of how crazy this feels.  I honestly don’t remember a whole lot about the first class. However, the next one after that was awesome.

We had two guests speakers and one of them really stuck out to me.  It made me feel a lot better about myself in the sense that I can do a mission. The speaker was a woman.  She had one of the worst life story I have ever heard. Through Heavenly Father, she has been able to overcome some crazy circumstances.   All I could think of was a quote by Kevin Garnett – “Anything  is Possible”.

MTC life is crazy. Everyone seems so happy all the time and the spirit is so stong until you get to the cafeteria. Wow, it’s not good. I would pay a large amount of money to even get a smell of Mom’s cooking right about now. So, a shout out to Mom and brother Braden, for sending some very helpful snacks that’s getting me and my comp through the week. Ha! Ha! Love you guys!

Funny Story of the Week

Actually, every moment has been funny cuz my district is a hilarious bunch. Or, you could say it’s pretty funny to me. We had our first gym time and we were finished with our game when I decided I should probably work on my jumper shot because I shot absolutely horrible during the game.  As I’m shooting around, I randomly tripped and launched myself into the gym door. It was soooo loud, probably because I’m a bigger dude anyway.  The door was locked so it was like hitting a brick wall. I wish I had a video of it.

Anyway, I have some pretty bad bruises on my lower back and a pretty massive cut that should heal up by the time I leave this place. The story doesn’t sound too funny now that I read it over, but I promise it was hilarious at the moment as everyone was watching me slam myself hard into the door.   PS  If you click on the photos below, they will enlarge and will be clear.
