This is it, my last mission email. Goodness I’ve been sitting here for a while trying to figure out how to even put into words what’s going through my head. haha. I think I just want to start with the best moment of this week.
The Lord definitely had a plan for my last full week as a full time missionary. This week was the baptism of Guille Primero. Guille has been taught by Missionary for about a whole year now. She has overcome some difficult challenges to be where she is at today. For the past 3 months we have been teaching Guille almost every single day. She calls us “My boys” and “My little Rays of Sunshine” It’s so wholesome. I have never seen someone so excited to be baptized. Although she grew up in a very Catholic home and some of her family was very hard on her about joining the church. However, she knew that it was true. As we got into the font together, I could just feel the spirit so strong. As she came out of the water she was just so happy and said, “Oh! I just wish I could stay under for longer!! This just feels so so good!” In that moment the spirit confirmed to me that I had accomplished all that I was sent to California to do.
The past 2 years in California have been life changing to say the least. I am so grateful that I was called to serve my Heavenly Father and to teach the people of SoCal about His Son Jesus Christ. Here on my mission I have come to know who my Savior is. I have seen Him in all aspects of the work and learned so much about His sacrifice that he made for all of us. I know that his sacrifice brings us “True Joy” as we sincerely repent of our sins each day.
Repentance has helped me change in so many ways. I look back and think back to who I was before my mission. I am so amazed on how much Christ has helped me change. It’s a “Miracle” for sure.
I am so grateful for all of the amazing people I have met along the way. I have loved my companions and the other missionaries I have served with. I am grateful to say I have made life long friends out here. I love the people of California and especially for those who the Lord prepared me and my companions to teach. I am so thankful for all of the life lessons I’ve learned from them. I am thankful for all the amazing members as well and all that they did for me while being here.
I have loved my mission and I am sad to say that it is over. I don’t know where I would be if I hadn’t serve my mission.
I want to say thank you to everyone who has supported me while being out here. Seriously, I have felt your prayers which has give me the strength that I needed.
I cannot wait to see you all this coming week. My “Homecoming details” are below. I love you all so so much.
