Wow… We are back with another weekly update lol. Crazy how I only have a couple more of these things. What journey for real. Anyway, this week was a solid week! We are putting everything into the area RN and its been a grind! But let’s get into it.
Monday Last pday was fun! We joined one of the districts and went on a hike in the morning which was a good time. We didn’t go very far unfortunately but we had fun none the less. The other district had a fun activity. We we went to a park and found a random thing, like a rock, and then painted it! It was pretty fun even although I suck at painting rocks, it was a fun activity. It threw me back to the tine we painted rocks in Tabby and Island Park fr. The night time was great!
We visited the Powery family (The family we found last week) and the family is bigger! It’s a couple generation household and we found the Grandma and a cousin haha! Good times!
Super normal Tuesday tbh. It started off interesting as we went on a run for our work out in the morning and you all know I have “0” stamina. My comp however loves running 5ks so you can imagine how it went. We ended up doing a 2 mile run, which isn’t very far, buttttt I am never doing that again hahaha! In the moment that was awful but afterwards it wasn’t so bad. The rest of the day was very normal.
Wednesday was lit. We had DC and then exchanges and I was with the goat Elder Robbins. He is a new missionary but is super chill. We had lesson after lesson after lesson it was a ton of fun for real!
Thursday was very weird. We had a ton of time to find and we talked to so many people but bro, we talked to some weirdooooossss! California natives for sure. Some Spanish speaking dude was following us at the park for a hot minute trying to yell at us and, of course, we had no idea what he was saying. We stopped him and figured out he just wanted to tell us he was a Freemason lol. Bro had to have been super drunk, but we have no idea. We had a fire lesson with Brandy even though she is going though a bunch of hard things. Our member took us to get food after and he took us to a place called the Bronx and IT WAS SO GASSSS! Lowkeym the best sandwich I have ever had in my whole life.
Friday BACK IN THE DANGEROUS STREETS FOR FRIDAY!!! On \I got to do a MLC exchange with Elder Tokelau and we ran it up in Long Beach. It was actually so much fun. I love that /Elder to death and I miss that area so much. We got to see Jessica, Jayion, Angelina, Josh, and the Fue family! We had a lot of good visits and taught some powerful lessons. Saturday was alright. We came back to Anaheim and had lots of visits. We taught Guille again and she is doing good and has loved our visits. She really does want to be baptized but just has health things that makes it hard to come to church. We did some visits before our Stark Industry training which was good as always.
Sunday! GUILLE MADE IT TO CHURCH!! It made me so happy to see that she was feeling good enough to come to church. We had some visitors there and there was a girl from Lone Peak that I knew of in High school but didn’t really know her. She is friends with a bunch of my friends so it was cool to see her and talk to her about some of the people from back home. We filmed a social media ad with the social media sisters and that was good.
I’d say this week was pretty generic but thinking about it, every single week on the mission is just a crazy week! This truly is the craziest work here on the earth and its so cool that I’ve been able to be apart of it. I feel like I have taken these types of weeks for granted on my mission when I feel it was a normal week. However, there is nothing normal about going door to door and talking to strangers all day long. The mission is the best thing to ever happen to me and I am so grateful to have served a mission!
