Ha ha – Happy Friday everyone! Yall probably thought I lost my streak of weekly emails in my Mission huh?? SIKEEE! Our pday got moved to Friday due to our temple trip. I think I forgot to let yall know of that last week lol. However, it’s been a good week and a half and a good amount of stuff happened, so I’m just let yall know of the most memorable stuff yeah??? Lets get it!
Lowkey, I don’t know where to start so Imma going to start with the coolest thing that happened this week! So the Tongan ward in the stake held a youth fireside and they requested all the missionaries to go and help out. We went and the main speaker was Brother Will Tukuafu! He is a former NFL player for the 49ers and seahawks and is currently the Defensive Line coach for the LA CHARGERS!!! He told some pretty dope stories about his career and how he stayed loyal to the gospel despite being in a crazy environment. It was so dope. Also His nephew, Bronson Kaufusi, was there. He is is a former BYU and NFL football player. I remember seeing him at Betos on University ave after his games haha. Got a pick with both of them so that was soooo dope!
We had MLC which was good cause I got to see some of my favorite missionaries at that meeting. Its always so swag to be able to see the dawgs again. Shoutout fr. Got to see Elda tokelau and that was a beautiful thing. With the topic of meetings we got to have the Anaheim stake coordination meeting and that’s always fun to see the vision of the stake and how we can support them as the zone is always sweet.
We got a random call from our vehicle coordinator this week and he goes, “Okayyyy Elders we have a brand new 2025 Toyota Tacoma here at the mission office and it needs a new home! Can you elders take it???” “Are you kidding? We were there within 20 minutes to grab our brand new Tacoma that had only 55 miles on it haha. My mission is so rough fr.
I got to go on exchanges with our DL Elder Tobey who is pretty dope! We had a good time and some good laughs. He is a chiller.
Guille came to church!!! It was sooooo swag to see here there and to be able to watch her partake of the sacrament was HUGEEEE! It was seriously so cool. I love Guille with my whole heart.
We found what we thought was the most elect homie ever who almost accepeted a baptism date in our first lesson just to have him block us days later…. tough life.
We had a huge service project with half the mission where we all met for a city clean up event pretty much. Got to see some dawgggssss and then we laid a bunch of Mulch and dug up some old bushes at an elementary school.
OH yeah lol, we had Zone conference last week and it was fire ahaha! Sorry I forgot! We had a good ZC and the spirit was strong. President and Sister Galotera talked about Urgency and Diligence and it got my hyped for the work. The APs did a lil training on getting people to church and it all flowed very smoothly. Weird to think I only have one more Zone Conference left….
I had another chill exchange with Elder Watson who I was on Catalina island with. He is also from AF and he is a chiller. We had a good day and we GRINDEDDD! We talked to so many people it was fire.
Honestly I am having a hard time thinking of what else to say but I wanna share a give a lil spiritual thought. This week my testimony grew so much in so many ways. I feel I am the closest to the Savior than I ever have been in my whole life! I have been reading in the BOM and marking all the times it give us council. My marker is legit almost gone! The amount of times it teaches us to keep all the commandments and to repent is just insane! In Alma 36:21 the Prophet Alma explains to his son, Helaman, that so great was his pain and hisb suffering while he was in sin, but he then describes how much sweeter and great his Joy was after he repented! I think it is SO EASY to think that repentance is a thing that is scary, or frowned upon when it is probably the most repeated council given in the Book of Mormon!! Repentance is beautiful and it can help us overcome all pain and
suffering. Repentance has changed me. I hope it will change you too.
suffering. Repentance has changed me. I hope it will change you too.
Love yall fr fr.
T-2 months left!!! It has gone so fast.
Elder lando
